Ok so this weeks tune of the week has to be the herelduke remix of luga’s home – stirling stomper version of the shoegazy original – go check it out over at:
Album of the week for me is a recent find Peter Broderick and an album called home. Lush epic guitar and piano with lush delicate playing and a great folkie voice. Reminiscent of good Sigor Ros or Stafrænn Hákon and that whole iceland scene in places and then accross to a polished Bon Iver on others – good stuff…

New minima mix up- number 4 – bit more tech house than before (thats because I’ve been coding too much!), featuring some great stuff i’ve been finding at beat port and beyond – mixings getting difficult as got to do it old stlye with the new laptop – my NI Kontrol doesnt like the new lappie one bit!
Top tips to download is the daniel steinberg tune – cobra limbos – unfortunately couldnt use tracktor for this mix but normaly great fun to loop the little time changes up with a ton of delay.

Hey was trying to do one a month but kinda been a bit too busy as ever – heres a nice xmasy (ha not at all xcept its pretty dark!) mix for the winter season. A bit of old bbc workshop stuff by the ever fantastic delia derbishire to start things off followed by some strange subdued electronics from dictaphone and murcof before we step into the techie stuff I’m loving anything by minilogue right now- and also am enjoying the Floyd sample in tigerskin’s Peters Secret weapon – real handy record to have in your box.

Ok thanks to Parfo I’ve finally got off me bum and done a mix – its called Eclectalot and it will be up for a limited time as of tommorow – it’s a completely crazy mix covering most of the stuff I’ve been listening to whilst working here at Charanga building music software for kids. It’s kind of a nice journey from sofa to pub to club to late night. Allot of its a bit jump up as you’ve got to clear your mind of those crazy kids songs as fast as possible! Theres gonna be some lovely french houseness a bit of dubstep (apoligies to Benga in advance as I love that tune but my copy’s not in the post yet so soz for the rippp!!!). And of course its topped and tailed by 2 of my fave folkies of the moment – Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver – tommorows kids
